Ingredients
BARS:
10 EGGS
½ CUP SUGAR
1 TABLESPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
¼ CUP FLOUR
2 (4 STICKS) CUPS BUTTER
6 CUPS (36 OUNCES) SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
FROSTING:
2 CUPS (12 OUNCES) SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1 CUP (2 STICKS) BUTTER
Preparation
FOR THE BARS: BEAT THE EGGS, SUGAR AND VANILLA IN A MIXING BOWL. ADD THE FLOUR AND MIX WELL. HEAT THE BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN A SAUCEPAN UNTIL MELTED, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. STIR INTO THE EGG MIXTURE. POUR INTO AN UNGREASED 10X15 BAKING PAN. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 25 MINUTES.
FOR THE FROSTING: MELT THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND BUTTER IN A SAUCEPAN OVER LOW HEAT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. SPREAD OVER THE BAKED LAYER.
COOL THE FROSTED LAYER IN THE PAN. CUT INTO SMALL BARS.
