Ingredients

1/3 cup heavy cream 

1/4 cup sugar 

4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped 

2 tablespoons unsalted butter 

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 

Preparation

Bring cream and sugar almost to a boil, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Pour over chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl. Stir until smooth, then stir in vanilla. Serve warm.
