Ingredients

5 eggs

3 cups cake flour

3 cups sugar

1/2 cup cocoa

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

2 sticks margarine

1 1/2 cups milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Cream shortening at low speed until light. Add sugar & cream at medium spped until the consistency of whipped cream. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, cocoa, salt & baking powder together. Add milk & dry ingredients alternately, beating thoroughly. Bake in greased tube pan at 350 until done, about 1 1/2 hours.
