Ingredients

For cake:

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

4 eggs

1 cup flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 16oz can Hershey’s Choc.Syrup

1 tsp vanilla

For filling:

1/2 cup butter

2 cups powdered sugar

2 tbsp. Cream de Menthe

For frosting:

1 cup chocolate chips

5 to 6 tbsp butter

Preparation

Cream 1/2 c butter and sugar well. Add eggs, flour, salt, chocolate syrup, and vanilla, one by one, blending well. Pour into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan. BAke at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 min. Cool in pan. Soften 1/2 cup butter. Cream with 2 cups powdered sugar and 2 tbsp cream de Menthe. Frost cake. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with 5 to 6 tbsp butter. Mix well. Cool until right testure to forst cake. Chill and cutinto 2 inch squares.
