Ingredients

l c. heavy cream

2 c. cake flour

11/2 c. sugar

T cocoa

1 T. baking powder

1/2 t. salt

3 egg whites

1/2 c. whole milk

t2 t. vanilla

Preparation

CAKE Prepare 2 9" ccake pans Chill a medium bowl and beaters. Mix milk and vanilla. In the chilled bowl, beat l cup heavy cream until it holds soft peaks. Beat 3 egg whites until peaked. Fold whipped cream and egg whites together. Sift dry ingredients in fourths into cream mixture, folding until just blended after each addition and alternating with milk mixture. Turn into pans and bake at 350 for 25-30 min. Cool 10 min. FROSTING In well chilled bowl, beat cream until thickened. Add dry ingredients in 2 or 3 additions. Beat until stiff peaks.
