Ingredients

1/2 c. Butter

1 c. Sugar

2 Eggs

1 c. Flour

1/4 c. Cocoa Powder

1/2 c. Milk

1/2 tsp. Nutmeg

1/2 tsp. Cloves

1 tsp. Cinnamon

3-4 tsp. Ginger

1/8 tsp. Cardamom

1 tsp. baking soda

Pinch of Salt

Preparation

Beat sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix all dry ingriedients separately, sifting to make sure cocoa powder is integrated with flour. Add a generous amount of ginger, to taste. Add dry ingriedients, alternating with the milk. Bake for 20 min. at 350. Let cool.
