Ingredients

16 oz bittersweet chocolate

1 ½ cups heavy cream

Few drops of vanilla extract (or cook vanilla beans in the cream)

Preparation

  1. Chop the chocolate and place in a double boiler.

  2. Bring the cream to a simmer in a small saucepot. Stir frequently to prevent burning.

  3. Pour the cream over the chocolate and wait for 30 sec. Using a whisk, gently stir the cream until all the chocolate has melted. Add the extract. Chill to set.
