Ingredients
Cookie:
Melted chocolate and butter
1 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 C. milk
1/2 C. pecans, chopped
Frosting:
1 C. white sugar
1 square chocolate
1/4 C. butter, softened
1/3 C. milk
1 tsp. Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla, added last
Preparation
Mix chocolate and butter mixture with eggs, milk and vanilla. In another bowl add dry ingredients: flour, soda, salt. Alternate dry ingredients with milk, eggs and chocolate mixture and nuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees about 10 min. or until done. Frost while still warm. Frosting: Mix all ingredients well and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 min. add vanilla and beat until cool. Spread over cookies while still warm. Place on racks until cool before stacking.
