Ingredients
24 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate
1 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp chile pepper
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
4 eggs, lightly beaten
4 tsp vanilla
Preparation
- Melt 20 oz chocolate according to package directions.
- Coarsely chop remaining 4 oz chocolate.
- Mix flour, cinnamon, chile pepper, baking powder and salt in small bowl.
- Beat butter and sugars in large bowl on medium speed until light & fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Add melted chocolate, beat until well blended.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed.
- Stir in chopped chocolate.
- Drop by generous rounded tablespoons 1.5" apart on parchment paper lined baking sheets.
- Bake in preheated 375 F oven about 10 mins. Transfer to wire rack, cool.
