Ingredients
8 ounces all-purpose flour
5 ounces sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
8 ounces skim milk
2 ounces unsalted, melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 to 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon lemon zest (or 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Before: preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Get two bowls.
- Pour the dry ingredients (salt, chocolate chips, sugar, flour, baking powder) into the bigger bowl.
- Pour the liquid ingredients (everything else for you slow ones) into the smaller bowl.
- Stir dry ingredients for 5 minutes
- Stir liquid ingredients until a yellow-tannish color with no blemishes.
- Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients
- Stir until tan.
- Cook for 18 minutes or until light brown.
