Ingredients
1/2 c butter (imperial is okay, a baking butter) room temp
1/2 c shortening (like crisco)
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 c flour
bag of choc chips
Preparation
Combine butter and crisco until smooth with electric mixer, add sugars and beat till fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda intermittently or together, up to you. Beat till mixed well. Add as much flour (at least two cups, no more than three and 2 1/4c will probably do it or there close) as your can until too think to stir. Add choc chips. Drop by spoonfuls of your desired size on cookie sheet (though baking stones work best) and bake in pre-heated oven of 375 for 8-10 minutes. Pull from oven and let set on cookie sheet for 1 -3 minutes…depending on cookie size.
