Ingredients

2,25 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

0,75 cup granulated sugar

0,75 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 regular package)

(1 cup chopped nuts–though i never use them)

Preparation

preheat oven to 375 F

beat sugars, butter, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth. add eggs one at a time and mix in well.

add the baking soda, salt, and flour gradually until everything is well-mixed. add in the chocolate chips (& nuts).

on a greased 15 x 10 jelly roll, spread out the mix evenly. bake for 20-25 minutes (done when toothpick comes out clean). cool in pan on a wire rack.
