Ingredients
1 lb. can of tart cherries
6oz semi-sweet chocolate
2.5 oz almonds
6oz butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
.25 teaspoon almond extract
.66 cup sugar
3 eggs
.66 cup flour, sifted
Preparation
350 degrees
9 in. springform pan, buttered, bread crumbs
drain cherries melt chocolate grind almonds cream butter and sugar, extracts; beat well add eggs one at a time on low speed, add chocolate, beat until mixed add almonds, beat to mix add flour, beat to incorporate
1/2 batter in pan, layer cherries, rest of batter
50 minutes, crusty on top
cool in pan 15 minutes, remove sides
serve with whipped cream
