Ingredients

14 oz. pkg (about 50) light carmels

1/3 cup evaporated milk

1 pkg. German Chocolate cake mix

1/2 cup + 2 Tblsp’s butter - softened

1 cup chopped nuts

1 Tblsp water

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9X13" pan. Combine in heavy saucepan carmels and milk, over low heat, stirring constantly until carmels melt. Keep warm. Combine in large bowl remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Stir with fork until dough is crumbly, but holds together. Press 1/2 of dough into prepared pan; reserve remaining dough for topping. Bake @ 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust, spread carmel mixture over all. Sprinkle reserved dough over carmel mixture. Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool completely.
