Ingredients

1/3 c shortening

1/3 c butter or margarine

1/2 c granulated sugar

1/2 c packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/3 c all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 6 oz. pkg semisweet chocolage chips

4 oz nuts

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 375. Grease 13x9 baking pan.
  2. Mix shortening, butter, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Spread dough in pan. Bake until light brown, 20-25 minutes.
  5. Dut into 3 x 1 1/2 in bars.
