Ingredients
2lb ground beef
1 onion (saute before adding)
1 green bell pepper
6 cans kidney beans
3 28oz cans crushed tomatoes
Spices:
3 bay leaves
3 Tbsp Chili Powder
2 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp Cayenne
Preparation
Brown the ground beef, drain. Saute the onion. Transfer both to a dutch oven. Stir in all ingredients except 4 cans of kidney beans. Simmer 2 hours adding water if necessary. Add final 4 cans of kidney beans and simmer another 30 minutes. Remove bay leaves before serving.
