MCCORMICK’S SEASONED PEPPER BLEND, MCCORMICK’S MONTREAL STEAK SEASONING, GARLIC POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER. FLOUR AND CRISCO BUTTER FLAVOR SHORTENING WHOLE CHICKEN, CUT UP WITH SKIN ON.

Preparation

PUT ALL SEASONINGS IN EGG WASH, NOT TOO MUCH. THEN PUT SOME IN WITH THE FLOUR. DIP CHICKEN IN EGG WASH, THEN IN FLOUR. SAUTEE THE ONION, CUT UP IN SMALL PIECES, IN THE BUTTER FLAVORED CRISCO,WITH A LITTLE MORE OF THE SAME SEASONINGS. COOK SLOWLY SO THE SEASONINGS PERMEATE THE CHICKEN. TURN CHICKEN OVER AND OVER. SERVE WITH COUNTRY GRAVY MADE WITH MILK AND THE CHICKEN JUICES AND THE ONION.
