Ingredients

1 chicken (pieces)

1 sliced onion

1 tbs butter

1 10-1/2 ounce can of bamboo shoots

1 small can of sliced mushrooms

chinese noodles or shinatocki

3 tbs brown sugar

1/2 cup chicken broth

2 tbs sherry

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/2 tsp accent

1 cup green onions in 1" lengths

1 can sliced waterchestnuts

Preparation

  1. Saute chicken in butter.
  2. Add sugar and cook until dissolved
  3. Add broth, soy sauce, sherry and accent. Bring to a slow boil.
  4. Add onions and cook until softened.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add chestnuts, bamboo shoots and noodles.
  7. Continue simmering for 2 minutes
