Ingredients
1 chicken (pieces)
1 sliced onion
1 tbs butter
1 10-1/2 ounce can of bamboo shoots
1 small can of sliced mushrooms
chinese noodles or shinatocki
3 tbs brown sugar
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tbs sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp accent
1 cup green onions in 1" lengths
1 can sliced waterchestnuts
Preparation
- Saute chicken in butter.
- Add sugar and cook until dissolved
- Add broth, soy sauce, sherry and accent. Bring to a slow boil.
- Add onions and cook until softened.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add chestnuts, bamboo shoots and noodles.
- Continue simmering for 2 minutes
