Ingredients

1 lb. pork, raw and cubed

1 chicken, cooked, chopped

1 to 2 T. salad oil

1 or 2 tsp. soy sauce

2 C. celery, chopped

1 sweet onion, chopped

1 T. molasses

1 can mushrooms, or 1 C. fresh, cut up

1 can bean sprouts

1 can sliced water chestnuts

salt and pepper to taste

1 T. cornstarch in 1/2 C. water

Preparation

Brown pork in salad oil. Add soy sauce and simmer for 5 min. Add celery, onions, molasses, mushrooms, bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook on low for 1 or 2 hours. Just before serving, thicken with mixed cornstarch and water. Serve with crispy noodles, chicken pieces and almonds placed on top.
