Ingredients

3 pound frying chicken

2 onions

3 tbs shortening

2 cloves garlic

16 oz can tomatoes

8 oz can tomato sauce

1/2 cup green pepper minced

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp basil

1/2 tsp celery salt

1 bay leaf

1/4 cup chianti wine

Preparation

Brown chicken in hot shortening in a skillet. Slice onions into bottom of slow cooker nd put chicken on top. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with spaghetti.
