Ingredients
1 chicken, cut in pieces
flour for dusting
1/4 cup oil
1 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup green peppers
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can -15oz- tomato sauce
1/3 cup water
1 TBS parsley, minced
1/2 tsp oregano, crushed(dried)
1/4 tsp thyme
3/4 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1/4 pound mushrooms
Preparation
Heat oil. Dust chicken with flour and brown. remove from pan. saute onion, pepper, and garlic until onion is tender mix in tomato sauce, water and spices. Add chicken and cook over low heat 45 minutes. stir occasionally. Add mushrooms and cook additional 15 minutes.
