Ingredients
8 pieces chicken (thighs or legs) w/ skin
1 yellow onion, sliced
1 medium green pepper, chopped
32 oz can crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons thyme
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
dash crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup dry red wine
8 oz sliced mushrooms
Preparation
Place onion and green pepper in bottom of slow cooker. Add chicken pieces on top of onions and peppers. Combine tomatoes,garlic, spices and wine in separate bowl and pour over chicken. Add mushrooms over all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low 8-10 hours. Serve over wide egg noodles.
