Ingredients

Butter a six cup, deep, straight-sided baking dish.

5 cups bread, cubed

1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, coarsely chopped

1 1/2 cups chopped broccoli, fresh or frozen

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Layer 1/3 each of the first 4 ingredients in the baking dish, repeat to make 3 layers.

6 eggs

3 cups milk

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp dry mustard

Beat next 5 ingredients until blended. Pour egg mixture over strata. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 F for 1 1/4 hours, or until puffy and golden.
