Ingredients

3 large eggs

2 1/4 cups light brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups self-rising flour

1 cup chopped pecans

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

In a heavy saucepan, beat eggs and sugar. Place over low heat and stir until sugar melts. Remove from heat; add butter. When cool, add flour and pecans. Stir well and add vanilla. Pour into a well greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake in a preheated 325F oven for 35 minutes or until it tests done. Cut into 24 squares while still warm.
