Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
1 can cherry pie filling
nutmeg
Preparation
Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs. Add baking powder, salt and flour.
Put half of cake in ungreased 9 x 13 cake pan. Spread pie filling on dough. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Drop spoonfulls of remaining dough on top of pie filling.
Bake at 350. You may frost with a light frosting glaze if you wish.
